Dr. Jim Cathey, search chair, is pleased to announce three finalists for the position of Associate Director for County Programs: Dr. Dale Fritz, Dr. Jim Mazurkiewicz, and Dr. Jeff Ripley.
Dr. Fritz has been District 9 Extension Administrator, headquartered in Bryan, since 2003. He was District Extension Director for districts 9 and 11 from 1993-2003, and a county agent in Brazos, Tarrant and McLennan counties from 1981-1993. Fritz earned a BS and MS in Animal Sciences and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Education, all from Texas A&M University.
Dr. Mazurkiewicz has been director of Texas Agriculture Lifetime Leadership since 1998. He became Leadership Program Director in 2008. Previously, Mazurkiewicz was county agent in Brazos, Ector, Knox and Guadalupe counties since 1978. He earned a BS and Ph.D. in Animal Sciences from Texas A&M University and a M Ed. in Agricultural Education from Texas Tech University.
Dr. Ripley has been an Extension Organizational Development specialist since 2009. He was District Extension Administrator for District 11 from 2007-08, and County Extension Director in Travis County, and County Extension Agent in Tom Green, Palo Pinto, Williamson and Guadalupe counties from 1989-2007. Ripley earned a BS in Agri-Business from Tarleton State University, a M. Ed. in Agricultural Education from Southwest Texas State University, and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Education from Texas A&M University.
